Lightness

LightDuring the dark winter months we must keep light in our souls.. here is a thought on lightness
Lightness is like hitting a spring of water inside. A sudden break out from the dryness of your normal reactions as you begin to express from within, rather than just responding to what you see outside. It usually happens when you come upon a quality that hasn’t been destroyed or jaded by time, something very old and inherent in you that has survived. Most qualities and talents are developed through use, but are also in some way diluted and changed. Lightness is touching what makes you unique, because it has never changed.

Addicted to Praise

We all want to be liked, valued and appreciated. There’s no doubt that we’re motivated by praise from those who matter to us. But it’s easy to become addicted to praise. Savour compliments without needing them. Enjoy performing well even if no one notices. Give your best without expecting validation.

Give Time

Whatever or whoever you give time to, you give your attention to. Whatever gets your attention gets your energy. Whatever gets your energy must grow.
So what will you give your time to today – who will get your attention? What or who needs your attention? Is it a task, a process or a relationship? Or are you waiting for these things to give you time and attention?
How long have you been waiting? Why are you waiting? Are you a leader or a follower, a master or a slave? Mmmm…all questions today!

This Is Contentment

Wherever I am is wherever I am meant to be, whatever I am doing is whatever I am meant to be doing and whatever everyone else is doing is exactly what they are meant to be doing – this is contentment. If you do want to change where you are, or what you are doing, the first thing is to be content with wherever you are and whatever you are doing right now!

Attitudes

When you extend pure love to everyone with selfless motivation that is an attitude of kindness.

When you send good wishes and pure feelings to those who are in deep sorrow, that is an attitude of mercy.

When you see the virtues rather than the weaknesses in people that is an attitude of compassion.

When you bless and uplift someone even as they defame you, that is an attitude of forgiveness.

When you tolerate a situation and take responsibility as well as give cooperation even when not appreciated, that is an attitude of humility and self-respect.

Every second, every moment and every breath of your life is nurtured by attitude.
